In 2001 we created Sensible City (http://www.sensiblecity.com/) - as far as I know the first company ever to do what we do. Check it out if you are curious.

In a nutshell, we use profit models to inspire companies to make the switch to environmental and/or community stewardship.

I wrote a book on this work - Community Oriented Marketing, but it was more like a practice book. The second book on this subject will be released in the fall.

I am married to Mayari and host two little Buddhas: Choyen and Luka. We live in the little mountain city of Asheville, North Carolina and travel to and from Chicago almost constantly.

I am interested in meeting like minds - especially those in the business or nonprofit realms who believe that through this crazy infrastructure of business and government, we can nurture an abundant global community.
